Maes Energy

MAES was founded in the 1960s by Jozef (Jef) Maes. Back then it was still a local business, selling Beverol-Oil lubricants to garages and industry. Later, the range was expanded to include gas oil for individuals. The following years MAES gained momentum, until eventually the full range of fuels was part of its offer. In the 1970s, MAES opened its first free pumps. In the 1980s, first Dirk and then Luc Maes strengthened the business, and that was immediately the starting signal for the expansion of a local network of gas stations under their own "Maes" name. In 2013, nearly 40 stations in the provinces of Antwerp and Flemish Brabant were acquired from Esso and since then the number of stations grew steadily to the current number of nearly 300 stations.

Blue1 implemented the SpoTTbox telemetry system at Maes' customers in order to monitor the volumes of fuel tanks at its customers' stations in order to deliver automatically and on time.

MAES werd in de jaren ‘60 opgericht door Jozef (Jef) Maes. Toen was het nog een lokale onderneming, die Beverol-Oil-smeermiddelen verkocht aan garages en industrie. Later werd het gamma uitgebreid met gasolie voor particulieren. De jaren erop kwam MAES in een stroomversnelling terecht, tot uiteindelijk de volledige waaier aan brandstoffen tot het aanbod behoorde. In de jaren ’70 opende MAES haar eerste vrije pompen. In de jaren ‘80 versterkten eerst Dirk en daarna Luc Maes de zaak, en dat was meteen het startschot voor de uitbouw van een lokaal netwerk van benzinestations onder eigen naam “Maes”. In 2013 werden bijna 40 stations in de provincies Antwerpen en Vlaams Brabant overgenomen van Esso en sindsdien groeide het aantal stations gestaag naar het huidige aantal van bijna 300 stations.

Blue1 implementeerde bij de klanten van Maes het SpoTTbox telemetry systeem om de volumes van de brandstoftanks bij haar klanten op te volgen en om op die manier automatisch en op tijd te kunnen leveren.
